VPN - Remote connection to local resources
Service description
Thanks to the VPN service, it is possible to remotely connect to resources inside the local network (for example, your virtual machine inside openstack) and to connect to the hidden private networks: WIRED, INFN-DOT1X, FISICA-PRIV, WL-Common.
Personal account request procedure:
- Access PIM with your account
- On the main page, verify that the "VPN" service is not in the active column. Otherwise, the service has been already activated
- Select the simbol "+" next to VPN
- Confirm
- Wait for the confirmation from the operators.
At this point you have a valid user with the VPN service active with the same credential as PIM. It is now possible to interact with the system through the use of a VPN client (such as OpenVPN/TunnelBlick).
Client Configuration:
Once the specific client for your system has been installed, you need the following two files:
- INFN-CA PEM certificate:ca.pem
- Configuration file for OpenVPN:infn-perugia.ovpn
