Physics meets schools - 2021
The RETE! Project to combat child educational poverty (2019-2022)
Our Department is a partner of the Project Rela Relazioni ed eccellenze educative sul Territorio (RETE!), coordinated by the APS Educare alla Vita Buona and funded by the Sociale Con i Bambini of Rome, implementing subject of the fund for the fight against child educational poverty. The aim of the project is to consolidate and expand the educating community, implementing a coordinated series of excellent training proposals for children in the 5-14 age group, especially those at risk of marginalization, reducing school dispersion.
The project includes the POST-Science Museum of Perugia, the municipality of Gualdo Tadino, three schools including the Umbrian Apennine belt, a series of cultural associations and social promotion.
To welcome and involve children participating in the RETE! project, we have transformed Room A of the Physics Building into a "Theatre of Physics", through sound and light equipment. In addition, we have upgraded the TerraLab at the Earth Science building.
